Our Tandridge Heroes April 2021

Glen O’Dwyer
Glen, and his colleagues at Computer Solutions in Caterham, have worked solidly over recent months to ensure as many Tandridge children as possible could access online learning.
Connectivity For Kids, Caterham School’s Laptops4Lockdown, Warlingham Library and Caterham Rotary have been collecting unwanted laptops and tablets and passing them to Glen. They have then been securely wiped, set up for re-use and donated to homeschooling children in the local area who lack IT facilities.

Climate change is already affecting the weather in the UK. The atmosphere is becoming warmer, there is more frequent stormy weather and in turn intense rain storms. The Met Office has just announced that it has been the wettest February ever recorded across the UK. Over the last few weeks we’ve seen storm Ciara, Dennis and Jorge and, most likely, there will be more to come.
