New patient transport contract for local Dial-A-Ride

By Pat Cannon, chairman of trustees, East Surrey Dial-A-Ride

East Surrey Dial-A-Ride is a charitable organisation based in the Westway Centre in Caterham. It provides transport for wheelchair users and people who, for whatever reason, have mobility problems which make it difficult for them to use public transport. Members are collected from their homes, taken to their destination, and brought home safely.

Over the last few years, like so many organisations, we have found it difficult to make ends meet, but we are delighted to announce that we have obtained a contract from EMED, a nationwide organisation supplying Non-emergency Patient Transport for NHS patients needing ongoing medical treatment. We are extremely grateful to all our staff for their willingness to take on this different role, which will assist us financially to continue to provide our core business of transport for elderly and vulnerable people.

We are currently recruiting for drivers to assist us with this new work. If you are interested please contact us on 07766 234408. You can also visit our website to find out more about us.
