Cream teas and bonsai trees

By Sue Dowse

On Tuesday, 9 April, the Tatsfield Not So Young Club climbed into a minibus provided completely free of charge by Practical Car and Van Rental in Biggin Hill, and headed off to Lingfield to meet Peter Chan and his team at Herons Bonsai.

Although the weather was not kind to us, we settled down in a lovely room with amazing bifold doors, which gave a superb panoramic view of the landscaped gardens. Members enjoyed a delicious cream tea whilst enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

The weather didn’t stop the Not So Young Club enjoying their refreshments

When the rain stopped we had the chance to wander around the centre and gardens, which houses hundreds of exquisite bonsai trees.

This was a rare treat for our members to enjoy a wonderful day out and, even though the weather was not at its best, the warm welcome we received by everyone cleared the clouds.
