Festival Fundraising

After a tumultuous 2023 which saw their theatre roof being storm damaged, the Festival Theatre at Hever Castle has returned with an exciting series of fundraising events which will help them recoup some of the uninsurable costs that were incurred.

International musician Orlando Jopling

The first, Tea with the Six Wives, a talk by half a dozen eminent historians, took place on Sunday, 3 March. The next features international musician Orlando Jopling, who will be filling St Peter’s Church, Hever, with the sounds of JS Bach’s Suites for Solo Cellos nos. 1,2 and 3, on Friday, 26 April.

Following that is a series of indoor Hever Castle Think Tank family workshops on three consecutive Sundays. Children’s authors Catherine Cawthorne, Iszi Lawrence and Sheena Dempsey will be bringing their books to life on 28 April, 5 May and 12 May respectively. All begin at 14:00, and will be filled with fun facts and activities.

The building of the brand new theatre, which has full undercover seating, will begin in late April, with the Hever Festival summer programme kicking off at the end of May. Lots of festival favourites will be returning, along with many new artists and events.

Book your tickets for the fundraising performances, as well as the upcoming summer season of shows, via the Hever Festival website.
