In the run-up to this year’s main programme, the Festival Theatre at Hever Castle is holding a series of fundraising events. The money raised will help with the festival’s winter overheads, and the costs related to establishing themselves in their new venue in Hever Castle’s grounds, after their original one was damaged by a falling tree last year.
In April, international musician and conductor Orlando Jopling, who appeared at the festival in 2023 with his opera company Wild Arts, and who is returning this summer with Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, will be performing JS Bach’s Suites for Solo Cello Nos 1,2 and 3. The Suites were composed in the early 1700s and is one of the most celebrated collections of music today.
Orlando Jopling playing the JS Bach Suites will take place at 19:30 on Friday, 26 April at St Peter’s Church in Hever.
