Fine & Country raises money for Caterham Foodbank

It may come as a surprise, but our estate agency runs a Homeless Foundation from our Park Lane head office. Last year, we nationally raised over £1,000,000 to fund local homeless projects throughout the UK.

In the autumn we held a charity music event, in aid of Caterham Foodbank, kindly hosted by the Woldingham Village Club.

Raffle prizes were donated by Alice Rose Gifts, Alan Jackson, Buxwoth Homes, David Fanthorpe, Sue and Mick Offer, Lisa and Mark Pacey, the King & Queen Caterham, Christian Cars and North Downs Golf Club, among others. A Caterham-based band, Chase The Tail, played for free, and I can now report that we raised £2,600 for this important cause.

A short talk about the work of the Caterham Foodbank was given by one of their trustees, Steve Bidwell, and I know many who attended were surprised to learn of the desperate circumstances people of all walks of life encounter, giving rise to the urgent need for foodbanks. Of how, in the blink of an eye, lives can descend into poverty. Anyone wishing to volunteer at the Foodbank can email them for more information.

Many thanks to everyone who supported this fundraiser which we hope to run again this year.
